Lori Rothfeld, JD, LMSW

Lori is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who enjoys working with diverse populations including pre-teens, adolescents, adults, and families.  She has expertise assisting clients with depression, stress and anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and trauma, and in supporting families with children with intellectual and developmental differences.  Prior to joining JGA, Lori worked with and received clinical training from Erica Berger Therapy (Washington, D.C.) and Gavin Behrens and Associates (Bethesda, Maryland).  She also completed a year long certification program in Family Therapy at JGA.

Before becoming a therapist, Lori was an attorney in private practice and also was a certified mediator and certified in collaborative law. Her legal experience informs her clinical work as she learned to listen empathically to her clients, to understand their underlying concerns, and to work collaboratively with opposing parties and counsel to resolve differences.
