Marin Rieger, LCMFT

Marin Rieger, a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, joined the team at Jonah Green and Associates, LLC in 2015. Marin has several years of experience providing therapy for children and adolescents with a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, social skills, emotion regulation, mood disorders, and impulse control. She has specific experience in several specialized areas, including self-harming behavior, substance abuse, suicide prevention, and eating disorders.

Marin has worked with families of all types, including separating and divorcing families, stepfamilies, and families undergoing loss and transition. Marin also has experience working with couples to navigate their challenges, strengthen their communication, and renew their bonds. In addition, she has spent several years as a researcher studying wellness and health.

Treatment Orientation

Marin has training and expertise in several therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, couples communication, and family systems. She is keen on facilitating a respectful, encouraging atmosphere so that clients can build on their strengths and work towards positive change. In her work with children, she is committed to working collaboratively with parents so that they can support each other and help their children thrive.

Education

Marin holds a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara.
